YouTube Content ID
Monetize every cover, lyric video & "Provided to YouTube" tag
Every cover, every lyric video, every gym Reel that uses your music can be a payout. YouTube Content ID monetizes user-generated videos that contain your master recording. We handle the full submission, fingerprinting and dispute pipeline.
How Content ID works
When your track is uploaded to Content ID, YouTube fingerprints the master and scans every new upload across the platform. Any video containing your audio gets matched, monetized with ads, and the revenue is routed through our pipeline back to your WBBT balance, with a clear audit trail in your dashboard.
Provided to YouTube branding
Every official track on YouTube has a "Provided to YouTube by [Distributor]" line in the description. By default, this reads "Provided to YouTube by WBBT Records". On the Label, Label Software and White-Label SaaS plans, you can replace this with your own custom label name, making your imprint look authentically professional on every YouTube release.
Eligibility & manual review
YouTube enforces strict Content ID rules: no covers, no public-domain works, no uncleared samples, and no AI-generated voice clones of real people. Our team reviews each Content ID request manually until your account reaches an automatic-approval trust threshold based on your release history and compliance record.
What you earn
On average, Content ID generates 10, 40% additional revenue on top of standard streaming royalties for active artists. The earnings are reported alongside your DSP royalties in your monthly statement, with full breakdown by video, geography and ad type.
